General humanities education goals

In the general humanities department, in cooperation with general science and mathematics departments and specialized departments, we aim to cultivate a well-educated humanity, and to develop basic academic skills that allow students to fully understand the contents of specialized subjects. Educational goals such as:

  • Improve communication skills in Japanese and foreign languages ​​and foster the ability to understand different cultures.
  • Understand the structure and characteristics of modern society and foster engineer ethics that are aware of their social responsibilities by considering the impact of science and technology.
  • Foster the ability to think and think about things from a global perspective and contribute to local communities.
  • To develop a habit of thinking, learning, and acting independently and to maintain and improve mental and physical health necessary as a working adult.
